Layton's Legacy Fundraiser & Card Drive Blog Hop

Wednesday, May 9, 2018

My Favorite Things is proud to be a part of Layton's Legacy Blog Hop to honor blogging friend Lea Lawson's son Layton and raise funds to purchase Starbucks® gift cards.

From her own experiences, Lea knows firsthand how overwhelming and scary it can be to have a child in the NICU and wants to provide some comfort to parents/caregivers whose children are in the NICU ward of the University of Minnesota Mason Children Hospital

She's done an incredible job organizing this card drive and fundraiser and we urge you to please take some time to read Layton's story, learn how you can participate in the card drive, and donate to this worthwhile cause on the Layton's Legacy YouCaring site.

Lea has provided a mood board with a woodland theme.

My Favorite Things supply that I'm using :
Friends in the Forest for the images and sentiment
Dienamics Friends in the Forest to die cut the images
Dienamics Gift Box Cover Up to die cut the frames
Dienamics Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips to die cut banner for the sentiment
Blue Breeze and Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink Pad with blending tool to color the background then splash watercolor with my brush

I stamp, color the images using copic then die cut it. The sentiment is from gold embossing powder.I add some clear sequins and clear droplets for the embellishment.

Visit Lea's blog for all the details on the fundraiser and how you can help families of NICU patients or if you simply want to send cards to Lea to pass on to affected families.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
